Accurascale has released a new OO gauge model of a BR Mk1 57' Non-Gangway Coach in BR Carmine Red livery, part of their 'Transporting Britain' range. This model is based on coaches built by British Railways between 1954 and 1956.

These coaches were widely used across the UK, serving the Eastern, Western, Midland and Scottish regions, as well as in commuter traffic in and out of London's major stations such as Kings Cross, Moorgate and Liverpool Street.

The model features a die-cast metal chassis and plastic body, with a highly detailed interior and exterior. Key features include accurate BREL BR1 bogies, blackened RP25-110 profile wheels, NEM standard coupling sockets, and scale width wire handrails. The model also includes a fully detailed under-frame, removable roof, and accurately replicated interior layouts.

The model is equipped with a full lighting package, including magnetically controlled interior lighting, all-rounder pick-ups, and a 'stay-alive' super-capacitor bank to prevent flicker.
