Accurascale's OO gauge model of the British Railways Mk1 57' Non-Gangway Coach in BR Carmine Red livery (E43119) is part of the 'Transporting Britain' range.

This model is a highly-detailed representation of a coach that was used extensively by British Railways from 1954 to 1956. The coach type was built by British Railways and was used across various regions, including the Eastern, Western, Midland and Scottish divisions.

The model features a die-cast metal chassis with a plastic body, providing a realistic running weight. The BREL BR1 bogies have been accurately replicated, with separate detailing and brake blocks aligned with the wheels. The wheels are set into blackened brass bearings, allowing for smooth running on 26mm axles.

The model also features a NEM standard coupling system and kinematic close coupling, ensuring a secure and smooth connection to other trains. The coach's exterior details include scale width wire handrails, water pipes, passenger communication gear, door handles and lamp brackets, headstock pipes and cabling.

The underframe is fully detailed, with vacuum cylinders, battery boxes, dynamo and piping all separately applied. The roof is easily removable, allowing for easy access to the interior for detailing and passenger fitting. The interior features a fully accurate replica layout, complete with detailed seating, luggage racks and framed artworks.

The model also includes a full lighting package, including magnet 'wand' controlled interior lighting, all bogie pick-ups and a 'stay-alive' super-capacitor bank for flicker-free lighting.
