Rapido's OO gauge BR 15xx Pannier Tank model represents the locomotive No.1509 in National Coal Board (NCB) Maroon livery. This model is part of the Rapido BR 15xx Pannier Tank collection.

Built in 1949, the original locomotive was designed by Frederick Hawksworth and belonged to the Great Western Railway 1500 class. A total of 10 of these locomotives were produced. The model follows the British Railways Late Crest period.
