It represents a London, Brighton & South Coast Railway A1X “Terrier” class engine, originally built between 1872 and 1880 at the Brighton Works to the design of William Stroudley. Only 17 of the full‑size locomotives were produced and the model carries the operator livery of the Kent & East Sussex Railway in blue, with the running number 5 and the name “Rolvenden”.
