The Heljan Class 47 locomotive in OO gauge is a diesel model with a British Rail large logo blue livery. The model is DCC ready, with a 21-pin socket, and is available in various liveries. The model features a Co-Co wheel arrangement and is built to a scale of 1:76.

The locomotive is designed to represent the British Rail Class 47, which was built by Brush Traction between 1962 and 1968. A total of 512 locomotives were produced for use in passenger services, with a maximum speed of 80 mph and 95 mph.

The model is fully revised and updated, with features such as five boiler roof panel variants, numerous cab front variations, and three underframe tank designs. It also includes original or Serck radiator shutters, original or revised bufferbeam design, and authentic lighting functions. The model has sprung buffers and is available in a range of liveries.

The manufacturer, Heljan, has announced a rolling programme of new versions and liveries, with the first releases expected in late-2020.
