The cab interior has authentic pipework detail and finely detailed metal parts, including handrails and etched fan grilles. The model also features minutely researched and applied liveries, based on archive photos and comments from acknowledged Class 47 experts.

The model has a range of lighting functions, including directional headcode panel and tail lights, separately switchable cab interior lights, engine room lights, and tail lights.
