The Heljan model depicts British Rail Class 15 locomotive D8202 in British Rail green livery with small yellow panels. It is presented in OO gauge with a pristine finish and carries the running number D8202.

The locomotive is DCC ready with an 8‑pin socket and all wheels act as power pickups. It uses NEM/tension‑lock couplings, a Bo‑Bo wheel arrangement and is powered by a diesel motor.
