Rapido GWR 45xx No 4562 – Early Crest Lined‑Green Steam Locomotive, DCC Sound, is a 1 : 76 scale (OO gauge) model of a British Railways Small Prairie tank engine as it appeared in the early BR era.

The locomotive is supplied with a factory‑fitted Next18 DCC decoder socket, onboard speakers and a dynamic fire‑box flicker effect. It includes a MoPower “stay‑alive” capacitor, sprung buffers, NEM 362 coupler pockets, and a highly detailed finish with etched brass number plates in the detail bag.

The 45xx class originated as a development of the GWR 44xx “Small Prairie” introduced in 1904, later rebuilt with larger wheels, superheated boilers and a range of external modifications to improve speed and reliability. A total of 75 members were built between 1906 and 1924, serving through the grouping period and into British Railways, with the last examples withdrawn by 1964.

Manufacturer part number 951608. DCC status: DCC Sound. Suitable for use on OO gauge layouts with NEM couplers and standard British‑style trackwork.
