Rapido Trains UK produce a 1:76 (OO gauge) model of Great Western Railway 45xx class locomotive No. 4555 in the preserved 1960s green livery. The model represents the locomotive as it appeared after withdrawal from British Railways service and subsequent preservation, and it is supplied with a DCC 18 decoder (Next18 socket) and factory fitted speakers.

The 45xx class originated in 1904 as an evolution of the earlier 44xx ‘Small Prairie’ tanks, later rebuilt with larger wheels, superheated boilers, outside steam pipes and other enhancements. No. 4555 was the first Collett‑built member of the class, operated by British Railways until 1963 and was rescued for preservation in 1965, later working on the Dart Valley Railway and the Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway.

Key features of the model include a tapered chimney, tall safety‑valve cover, long curved running board with Mk3 bunker and fender, 14‑spoke wheels with crescent weights, steel cab roof without portholes, parallel buffers, ATC equipment, MoPower stay‑alive capacitor, NEM 362 coupler pockets, sprung buffers and a dynamic firebox flicker effect. The model is supplied with a painted brass number plate appropriate to the chosen preservation period.
