Introduced by the Great Northern Railway in 1921 to a design by Nigel Gresley, these powerful 2-8-0s were built to haul heavy mineral trains. Several batches were built over a 22 year period by the GNR and LNER, with numerous improvements such as better cabs and bigger tenders. Heljan's model depicts the later '02/3' and '0 2/4' variants.

The Heljan Class O2/4 'Tango' locomotive model is a OO gauge representation of a British Railways early emblem black Locomotive No. 63945. The model features a low running plate, London and North Eastern Railway cab and Great Northern Railway tender with a short chimney. It is DCC Ready with a 21-pin socket and has a pristine finish.

The locomotive is built to haul heavy mineral trains and is a reproduction of the later '02/3' and '02/4' variants. The model has several features including a factory fitted speaker in the tender, NEM couplings, sprung buffers, exterior details, and tender and locomotive pickups.
