Another model that has been out of production for a few years is the ever- popular Class 14 0-6-0DH. Again, demand continues to be strong for BR, industrial and preserved liveries on these cult locomotives, which are probably now more popular than at any previous time in their varied career. Seven versions are in preparation, including a superb Western Region ballast train pack with four 'Dogfish' hoppers
* Class names often change over the lifespan of a locomotive, so this is not necessarily the class name used by the operator in the period modelled.

Heljan Class 14 BR Maroon D9523 is a model locomotive representing the British Railways Class 14 diesel‑hydraulic locomotive in its preserved maroon livery. The model bears the running number D9523 and is finished to a pristine standard.
The model is DCC ready with an 8‑pin socket, and all wheels provide power pickup. It is equipped with NEM / tension lock couplings and can negotiate a minimum radius of 2 inches. The wheel arrangement is 0‑6‑0 and the locomotive is powered by a diesel motor. The model is scaled to the original dimensions and is supplied with manufacturer part number 1415.
The prototype locomotive was built by British Railways at Swindon between 1964 and 1965, with a total of 56 units produced. It was ordered by British Railways, had a maximum speed of 40 mph and was withdrawn in April 1968 after three years of service.
The model is currently out of production, but demand remains strong for British Railways, industrial and preserved liveries. Seven new versions are in preparation, including a Western Region ballast train pack containing four “Dogfish” hoppers. Further updates were expected in 2022, with additional information to follow.
