Heljan Class 14 D9531 is an OO‑scale model locomotive in British Rail green livery, complete with the coaching stock roundel. The model is presented in a pristine finish, carries a running number of D9531 and is fitted with an 8‑pin DCC ready socket. It uses NEM couplings, offers directional lighting and draws power from all wheels.
The locomotive is a replica of the British Railways Class 14 diesel, wheel arrangement 0‑6‑0, capable of a maximum speed of 40 mph. Its minimum radius curve is the 1st radius of 371 mm. The model represents the early British Rail crest era and carries the manufacturer part number 1409.
The real Class 14 was built at Swindon by British Railways in 1964–1965, with a total production of 56 units. It was ordered by British Railways, entered service in 1964 and was withdrawn on 12 December 1967 after approximately two years of operation.
