Heljan Class 14 locomotive D9537 is a ready‑to‑run model in British Rail desert sand livery, representing a preserved example of the BR Class 14. The model is built to 00 gauge and is supplied in a pristine finish.
It is DCC ready with an 8‑pin socket and features directional lighting, power pickup from all wheels and NEM couplings. The minimum radius curve is the first radius of 371 mm. The locomotive is powered by a diesel motor and carries the running number D9537.
The prototype was built by British Railways at Swindon between 1964 and 1965, with a total of 56 units produced. It had a 0‑6‑0 wheel arrangement, a maximum speed of 40 mph and was withdrawn in April 1968 after three years of service. The class was operated by British Railways.
The model carries the manufacturer part number 1410 and represents the current era of the Class 14.
