The model is a Bachmann OO gauge 1:76 representation of a British Rail Class 04 diesel‑mechanical shunter, running number 11217. It reproduces the 0‑6‑0DM locomotive built by Drewry Car Co. at Vulcan Foundry and Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns between 1948 and the early 1960s. The prototype was employed by British Rail and several industrial operators for shunting duties and remained in service until 1971.
The model measures 108 mm in length, features a plastic and metal chassis, NEM pocket couplings with tension‑lock couplers and does not include lighting or sound.
