The Dapol OO gauge GWR Toplight Mainline City coach set, specifically the all brown third brake coach 3756, is a highly detailed and accurate model of a coach from the 1920s.

Built by Swindon Works between 1920 and 1921, this type of coach was part of the original six sets of six coaches produced for the GWR. The coaches were designed to be close coupled and had a steel body, making them 7 inches lower than other contemporary coaches to accommodate the restricted loading gauge of the London Underground tunnels.

The coaches were originally used for commuter services from Reading and Windsor into the City of London, but their use was curtailed at the start of the Second World War. After the war, they were used on services further afield, but were eventually withdrawn from revenue-earning service in December 1956.

In 1958, three of the coaches were converted into workmen's coaches for the miners' service between Glyncorrwg and North Rhondda Halt, making coaches 3755, 3756, and 3910 the last three coaches in service. Coach 3756 is now partially restored.

The Dapol model of the all brown third brake coach 3756 is part of a new range of GWR Toplight Mainline City coaches, which will also include an all third coach and a composite coach. The model features highly accurate injection moulded bodywork, metal door and commode handles, and a highly detailed chassis with vacuum tanks and brake linkages.

The technical specification of the model includes kinematic couplings with NEM pockets, sprung metal buffers, internal lighting, and directional tail lamp. The model is capable of negotiating R2 radius curves and can be optionally DCC fitted with a six pin decoder.
