HAA Hopper Wagons, Three Pack, BR Railfreight - Era 8
Accurascale has produced a set of three OO gauge HCA MGR Hopper Wagons in Freight Brown livery, suitable for the period of British Rail Blue (TOPS). The wagons are built to a scale of 1:76.2 and are designed for use on 16.5mm track. Each wagon features a die-cast chassis for added weight, and the models have a minimum radius requirement of 438mm.
The set includes three wagons, each with a unique running number and livery. The wagons are finished in pristine condition and feature NEM couplings. The models are highly detailed, with features such as rivets, framing, strapping, and accurately profiled door 'horns'. The wheels are RP25-110 profile, with separate brake blocks in line with the tread.
The wagons are based on the HCA design and feature various details such as air pipes, lamp irons, safety catches, and clasp and disc brakes. Etched metal details include brake levers, chassis plates, and other components. The models also feature removable Kinetic NEM coupler mounts and mini-tension-lock couplers.
Accurascale has aimed to include numerous individual differences between wagon types, including three body styles, two styles of hopper door, and various other details. The set is designed to be compatible with a range of wheel and buffer variants, and features multiple bufferbeam brake pipe configurations.
The HCA MGR Hopper Wagons are built to a high standard, with a minimum weight of 40g per model. They are suitable for use on British Railways' network, particularly during the period of 1964 to 1982.
