HAA Hopper Wagons, Three Pack, BR Railfreight - Era 8
Accurascale has released a set of three OO gauge model wagons in Railfreight Red livery, representing the HBA MGR Hopper wagons used by British Rail Railfreight.
The models are accurate representations of the wagons that were built between 1964 and 1982 at BR Darlington Works, BR Shildon Works, and BR Ashford Works. They are highly detailed, with features such as rivets, framing, strapping, and accurately profiled door 'horns'.
The models are available in three different numbers: 368071, 368201, and 368400, and are finished in a pristine condition. They are designed to operate on a minimum radius of 438mm and have a minimum weight of 40g.
The models feature a die-cast chassis, RP25-110 profile OO gauge wheels, and sprung metal buffers. The wheels are complete with separate brake blocks in line with the tread. The models also feature super fine plastic parts, including air pipes, lamp irons, safety catches, clasp and disc brakes, hopper door operating equipment, and etched metal details such as brake levers and chassis plates.
The models are designed to represent the various differences between wagon types, including three body styles, two styles of hopper door, and two styles of door operating equipment covers. They also feature multiple bufferbeam brake pipe configurations, three different wheel variants, and correct modifications to the brake disc caliper operating equipment.
The models are suitable for use on 16.5mm track and are designed to operate with NEM couplers. The packaged models are a representation of the decorated sample and may not be fully indicative of the final model.
