Prototype information

Accurascale has released a new OO gauge model of the PCA VTG Castle Cement wagon in a 3-pack set. The model features a 1982-1985 build date, consistent with the period of the rebuilding of the railways. The wagons are decorated in the correct livery for Castle Cement and are supplied with individual numbers and detailing.

Each wagon in the set has unique lettering, logos, and codes, adding to the authenticity of the model. The wagons are equipped with NEM standard flexible coupler pockets and NEM narrow tension lock couplers. The wheels are of the RP25.110 darkened profile type, with 14.4mm back to backs and 12.6mm diameter.

The model features etched steel factory-fitted detailing, including ladders, walkways, and pipework. Additional fine detail is provided through the use of plastic parts. Metal, fully sprung scale buffers are also included. To improve stability, 25g of added weight is provided per axle.
