Accurascale has released a new OO gauge model of the PCA VTG Castle Cement wagon, available in a pack of three separate vehicles. Each wagon features individual numbers and detailing to provide a high level of authenticity. The model is finished in a pristine condition and represents the Castle Cement livery.
The wagons are built by CFMF and Fauvet-Girel, and were originally constructed between 1982 and 1985. They were operated by Castle Cement and represent a period of railway rebuilding in the UK. The model features a 4-wheel wheel arrangement and has a minimum radius curve requirement of Radius 2.
The model is equipped with NEM standard flexible coupler pockets and features NEM narrow tension lock couplers. The wheels are made of metal and have a darkened profile, with a 14.4mm back to back measurement. The axles are also metal, with a diameter of 12.6mm. The model includes etched steel factory-fitted detailing, such as ladders and walkways, as well as extra fine plastic parts and pipework. Additionally, the model features metal, fully sprung scale buffers and has been weighted to meet the NEM standard of 25g per axle.
