Accurascale has released a new model of the PCA VTG Castle Cement wagon. This OO gauge model is a three-pack, each wagon featuring individual numbers and detailing to replicate real-world examples.
The model represents the wagon's original livery and includes precise lettering, logos, and codes. The NEM Standard Flexible Coupler Pockets allow for easy coupling and uncoupling, while the NEM Narrow Tension Lock Couplers provide secure connections.
The wheels are designed to meet the RP25.110 standard, with a darkened profile and 14.4mm back to backs. The metal disc wagon wheels are mounted on metal axles, measuring 12.6mm. Other features include etched steel detailing, ladders, and walkways, as well as extra fine plastic parts and pipework.
The model also includes metal, fully sprung scale buffers, and has been weighted to meet the NEM Standard, with 25g added to each axle. The PCA VTG Castle Cement wagon was built by CFMF and Fauvet-Girel between 1982 and 1985, and operated by Castle Cement during the rebuilding of the railways.
