Hattons Class 66 66005 is a OO‑scale model of a British Rail Class 66 locomotive in English, Welsh and Scottish (EWS) livery. The model is sound fitted and carries DCC sound capability. It is presented in a pristine finish with a running number of 66005.
The locomotive measures 282 mm in length and uses a NEM coupling with tension lock. It is capable of negotiating a minimum curve of 438 mm (2nd radius) and includes both directional and interior lighting. Powered by a diesel‑type motor, the model can reach a maximum speed of either 65 mph or 75 mph as required.
Produced between 1998 and 2014, the Hattons Class 66 bears the manufacturer part number H4‑66‑001‑S. A total of 446 units were made, representing the initial privatisation period of the English, Welsh & Scottish Railway.
