73963 – GBRf, Early

73963 offers the perfect partner to 73962 as one of the original 3 rebuilt locomotives to enter traffic in 2014/2015. Starting life as E6030 also in May 1966, it became 73123 under TOPS renumbering and then 73206 as part of the Gat-Ex fleet. After conversion at Wabtec Brush, it was named “Janice”, the name formerly carried by 73204 (73962) prior to rebuilding. Our model covers the period after introduction with full Europorte branding.

Accurascale Class 73 model 73963 “Janice” is supplied in the GBRf early livery. The locomotive is motorised with a working fan and is compatible with DCC (Motorised Working Fan). It carries the manufacturer part number ACC3326 and represents the initial privatisation period of the British railway network.

The prototype locomotive began service as E6030 in May 1966, was renumbered 73123 under the TOPS system and later became 73206 within the Gat‑Ex fleet. After conversion by Wabtec Brush it was renamed “Janice”, a name previously borne by 73204 (model 73962) before rebuilding. This model reflects the post‑conversion era, including full Europorte branding, and entered traffic alongside the other two rebuilt Class 73s in 2014/2015.
