Accurascale has released a new SR Tadpole ex-D1479 Banana Van model in a British Railways Departmental livery, available in a triple pack.

This model is based on a 1935-built wagon and represents the British Rail Blue era, pre-Transition to Operational Pattern Standard (TOPS). The pack includes three wagons, each with its own unique number: TDS50812, TDS50885, and TDS50846.

The model features a die-cast metal chassis and plastic body, with a weight of 60g per wagon. The scale length is 70mm over the headstocks, and the wheelbase is 40mm, allowing operation on a minimum radius of 371mm (Radius 1 Set-Track).

The model includes three different wheel designs: split spoke, single spoke, and 3-hole disc, all with RP25.110 chemically blackened OO gauge wheel sets. The bearings are made of blackened brass and conform to Accurascale standards.

The model features eroded metal, plastic, and wire detail parts, including handrails, grab handles, door handles, lamp brackets, vacuum and steam pipes, and steam heating cock and break gear. The wagons are equipped with turned sprung metal buffers and NEM standard coupler pockets, along with narrow tension lock couplers.

An accessory bag is included, containing steam/vacuum hoses and screw couplings for added authenticity. Each wagon features individual lettering and codes from real wagons to enhance the model's realism.
