Accurascale has released a new model of a British Railways Departmental Tadpole Mixed wagon, featuring three unique wagons in the classic bauxite livery.

The model represents a triple pack of wagons, each with its own individual number: DS50708, DS50683, and DS50832. These wagons were built by the Southern Railway in 1935 and operated during the British Rail Blue era, before the introduction of TOPS.

Each wagon features a die-cast metal chassis with a plastic body, weighing 60g per wagon. The model measures 70mm in length over the headstocks and has a wheelbase of 40mm, allowing it to operate on a minimum radius of 371mm (Radius 1 Set-Track).

The model includes three different wheel designs: split spoke, single spoke, and 3-hole disc, all of which are chemically blackened to an OO gauge standard. The bearings are made from blackened brass and conform to Accurascale standards. The model also features eroded metal, plastic, and wire details, including handrails, grab handles, and other small parts.

The model includes NEM standard coupler pockets and narrow tension lock couplers for precise operation. Additionally, the model features individual lettering and codes from real wagons for added authenticity. An accessory bag is included, containing steam/vacuum hoses and screw couplings to enhance the model's detailing.
