Rapido LNER Class J70 is presented in British Railways early‑crest livery, featuring a black finish with the early emblem and full skirts. It is a limited‑edition model produced for Model Rail Magazine and carries the running number 68222.

The locomotive is finished to a pristine standard and is DCC ready with a six‑pin socket. It uses NEM couplings with a tension‑lock feature and can operate on a minimum radius curve of 371 mm (first radius). Directional lighting is fitted. The model represents a 0‑6‑0T steam engine originally built in June 1914 at the Great Eastern Railway works in Stratford, designed by James Holden.

Only twelve examples of the real locomotive were built for the Great Eastern Railway; it entered service under the GER, later operated by British Railways, and was withdrawn in January 1955 after forty years. The manufacturer part number for this model is MR‑202.
