Heljan Beyer‑Garratt locomotive 2‑6‑0 / 0‑6‑2, number 47979, is supplied in British Railways black livery with LMS lettering and a revolving coal bunker. The model is ready for digital command control via an 8‑pin socket and runs on OO gauge track. It measures 350 mm in length, uses NEM couplings, and has directional lighting powered from the driving wheels only.

The locomotive represents the London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) class built by Beyer, Peacock & Co. at Gorton Works between 1927 and 1930. Only six of the original locomotives were produced, intended to replace pairs of Midland 0‑6‑0s on heavy mineral and ironstone trains between the East Midlands and London, later operating as far as York and Peterborough. They were withdrawn in the late 1950s when BR Standard 9F 2‑10‑0s took over.

Key specifications include a pristine finish, sprung buffers, interior cab detailing, and a minimum curve radius of 438 mm (2nd radius). The model's manufacturer part number is 266217 and it is supplied by Hatton’s Model Railways. It is representative of the “Big Four” era (LNER, LMS, GWR and SR).
