Hattons SECR P Class 0-6-0T 1323 is a detailed model of a Southern Railway steam locomotive in the SR black livery, complete with authentic Egyptian lettering. The model is supplied under the manufacturer part number H4-P-019 and accurately replicates the appearance of the original locomotive as it operated under the Southern Railway.
The model is presented in the traditional SR black colour scheme, which was standard for the railway’s freight and shunting engines. The Egyptian lettering on the cab sides reflects the historical practice of using Arabic script for engines that were allocated to service in Egypt.
This product represents the period known as the “Big Four”, the era from 1923 to 1947 when the London and North Eastern Railway, the London Midland and Scottish Railway, the Great Western Railway and the Southern Railway were the dominant railway companies in Britain.
