The Ellis Clark Trains Quad Art Set No. 85A is a OO gauge model representing British Railways Early Crest era stock. The set consists of four coaches and features finely detailed bogies with brass bearings, separate bogie variations for centre and end bogies, and sprung centre bogie fixing for realistic running. Electrical pickups are included for lighting.

The chassis of the model is fully detailed and diecast, with accurate and detailed paint and printing. The set includes separately fitted vacuum and battery box details, and spare brake sets for EM/P4. The coach bodies feature detailed interiors with etched luggage racks and correct height seats, as well as fully detailed roofs with separately fitted vents and magnetic and push fit roofs.

The Quad Arts were a type of articulated coach built between 1923 and 1925 for the Great Northern Railway and London and North Eastern Railway. A total of 97 sets were produced, with the last articulated loco hauled stock seen on the UK Mainline retiring in April 1966. The coaches were used extensively on suburban lines and were known for their reliability and durability. They were powered by a range of locomotives, from the humble N1 to the BR Class 20.

The Quad Arts carried three distinctive liveries during their lifespan: varnished teak, BR Crimson, and BR Maroon. One of the most well-known sets is Set 74, which has been preserved by the M&GN Society and North Norfolk Railway.
