GWR/LMS Joint Loading Gauge
After loading, open wagons were checked for height using this simple gauge to ensure that loads did not hit bridges etc. and therefore were usually placed near the yard exit. Supplied with pre-coloured parts although painting and/or weathering can add realism; glue is required to complete this model.

Ratio GWR/LMS Joint Loading Gauge – Manufacturer Part Number 411
This is a lineside kit designed for OO and HO scales. It represents the joint loading gauge used by the Great Western Railway and London Midland and Scottish Railway to check the height of loaded open wagons, helping to ensure that they will not strike bridges or other structures. The gauge was normally positioned near the exit of a yard.
