Rails of Sheffield ExclusivePrototype info
The Kerr Stuart “Victory” locomotives were a class of 10 0-6-0t sourced by the Inland Waterways and Docks Department in 1917. Most saw service at various southern ports before being sold into industry after hostilities ended. Six examples went directly into colliery service, two to the Alexandra Docks Railway, one to the Brecon and Merthyr and one to Colonel Stephens's East Kent (also a coal hauler). A number survived in industrial service into the late 1960s, none were preserved.
About the model
The 1:76 scale '00' gauge model features a high torque motor, flywheel driven chassis with darkened RP25-110 profile wheels, highly detailed accurate body with separately applied details and a NEXT18 DCC interface. It will safely negotiate a minimum R2 curve.

Planet Industrials Highly Detailed Deluxe Weathered Kerr, Stuart “Victory” 0‑6‑0T locomotive, supplied in black with the ROD number 608 and a realistic load. It is offered as a limited‑edition “Rails of Sheffield” exclusive, with the manufacturer part number PI‑001‑EDW and a DCC 18 (NEXT18) interface, ready for digital control.
The model is a 1:76 (00 gauge) ready‑to‑run locomotive featuring an injection‑moulded body, over 200 separate components and a die‑cast metal chassis. It rides on fine‑scale RP25‑110 profile wheels with a six‑wheel electrical pickup, a high‑torque flywheel motor driving the rear axle through a 40:1 precision gearbox, and includes full cab detail, sprung buffers, NEM coupler pockets, optional front steps and toolboxes, as well as etched works plates showing all ten works numbers.
The locomotive represents the pre‑grouping era, modelling the Kerr Stuart “Victory” class built in 1917 for the Inland Waterways and Docks Department. The finish is weathered and the model can negotiate a minimum R2 curve safely, with a realistic load fitted as standard.
