Prototype info
The Kerr Stuart “Victory” locomotives were a class of 10 0-6-0t sourced by the Inland Waterways and Docks Department in 1917. Most saw service at various southern ports before being sold into industry after hostilities ended. Six examples went directly into colliery service, two to the Alexandra Docks Railway, one to the Brecon and Merthyr and one to Colonel Stephens's East Kent (also a coal hauler). A number survived in industrial service into the late 1960s, none were preserved.
About the model
The 1:76 scale '00' gauge model features a high torque motor, flywheel driven chassis with darkened RP25-110 profile wheels, highly detailed accurate body with separately applied details and a NEXT18 DCC interface. It will safely negotiate a minimum R2 curve.

Planet Industrials Kerr, Stuart ‘Victory’ 0‑6‑0T locomotive in black “ROD” No.608 is a limited‑edition Rails of Sheffield exclusive, offered as a ready‑to‑run model in 1:76 scale (OO gauge). It carries the manufacturer part number PI‑001‑E, is DCC‑ready with a NEXT18 interface (DCC 18 status) and represents the pre‑grouping period.
The original Kerr Stuart “Victory” class comprised ten 0‑6‑0T locomotives built in 1917 for the Inland Waterways and Docks Department. After the First World War the engines worked at various southern ports before being sold to industry; six entered colliery service, two joined the Alexandra Docks Railway, one went to the Brecon and Merthyr Railway and one to Colonel Stephens’s East Kent line. A few survived in industrial use into the late 1960s, but none were preserved.
The model features an injection‑moulded body with over 200 individual components, a die‑cast metal chassis and fine‑scale RP25‑110 profile wheels. Power is supplied by a high‑torque flywheel‑driven motor with a 40:1 precision gearbox, providing slow, smooth running and a six‑wheel electrical pickup. It includes full cab detail, sprung buffers, correctly positioned NEM coupler pockets, optional front steps and toolboxes, and etched works plates bearing all ten works numbers. The locomotive will safely negotiate a minimum R2 curve.
