Kerr, Stuart 'Victory' 0-6-0T Locomotive in Plain black
Planet Industrials Kerr, Stuart ‘Victory’ 0‑6‑0T locomotive in lined grey, IW&D 12 – Limited edition: Rails of Sheffield. DCC status: DCC 18. Manufacturer part number: PI‑001‑B. The model represents the pre‑grouping period.
The Kerr, Stuart “Victory” locomotives were a class of ten 0‑6‑0 t engines ordered by the Inland Waterways and Docks Department in 1917. After the First World War most were sold to industry, serving at southern ports, colliery lines, the Alexandra Docks Railway, the Brecon and Merthyr, and Colonel Stephens’s East Kent line. Several remained in industrial use until the late 1960s; none were preserved.
The 1:76 scale ‘00’ gauge model is a ready‑to‑run injection‑moulded body containing more than 200 separate components. It features a die‑cast metal chassis, fine RP25‑110 profile wheels, a six‑wheel electrical pickup and a high‑torque flywheel‑driven motor with a 40:1 precision gearbox for slow, smooth operation. The model is DCC ready via a NEXT18 interface and will negotiate a minimum R2 curve safely.
Additional details include a fully finished cab, sprung buffers, NEM‑type coupler pockets at the correct height, optional front steps and toolboxes, and etched works plates bearing all ten works numbers.
