Manufacturer description

PECO Streamline OO/HO CODE 75

Curved Turnout, Large Radius, Left Hand

Peco Streamline Code 75 track meets the standards of enthusiasts who prefer to run trains on scale height rail. Today most manufacturers' wheels are suitable for use on Code 75 track but some vintage models may have flanges which are too deep to clear the rail fixings. Code 75 can be easily combined with code 100 track by using the SL-113 Transition Track. The wide range of turnouts and crossings in this series includes every type, and the geometry of this range has been cleverly designed to make it easy to build convenient, complex and aesthetically pleasing formations using combinations of small, medium and large radius turnouts and crossings. Layout plans suggestions can be found in our publications ‘Track Plans for Layouts to Suit all Locations’ (Ref PM-202), ‘60 Plans for Small Railways’ (Ref no PB-3), and ‘Track Plans for Various Locations’ (Ref no PB-66).For more details on Electrofrog turnouts, see our Wiring the Layout publications Nos 4 and 21.

PECO Curved Turnout, Large Radius, Left Hand – part number SL‑E187 – is a 258 mm long section of Code 75 model railway track designed for OO/HO scale layouts. The turnout incorporates a left‑hand curve with two radius options, 1524 mm and 762 mm, allowing the creation of both large and medium‑radius track formations.

The product is part of the PECO Streamline range, which meets the standards preferred by enthusiasts running trains on scale height rail. Although most modern wheelsets can run on Code 75 track, some vintage models with particularly deep flanges may require additional clearance. The turnout can be joined to Code 100 track using the PECO SL‑113 Transition Track, and it works with the SL‑110 nickel‑silver conducting rail joiners and SL‑111 insulated rail joiners supplied for this track code.

Track fixing is provided by SL‑14 pins made from chemically blackened mild steel, offering a discreet method of securing the turnout to the layout. Layout‑building guidance, including plan suggestions and wiring advice, is available in PECO publications such as “Track Plans for Layouts to Suit all Locations”, “60 Plans for Small Railways” and “Track Plans for Various Locations”.
