Heljan’s Metropolitan Bo‑Bo electric locomotive, model 20, reproduces the Metropolitan Railway’s original livery in a pristine finish. It is a 1:76 scale OO‑gauge model, built to the specifications of the historic Metropolitan‑Vickers Bo‑Bo electric units that were constructed between 1922 and 1923, with a total production of twenty locomotives.
The model is DCC ready with a 21‑pin socket, features NEM couplings and all‑wheel power pickup, and can negotiate a minimum curve radius of 438 mm (2nd radius). It carries the operator marking “Metropolitan Railway”, has a running number of 20, and is capable of a maximum speed of 65 mph. The wheel arrangement is Bo‑Bo and the manufacturer part number is 9000.
