Accurascale has released a set of three OO gauge models of CDA China Clay wagons in EWS (English, Welsh and Scottish) livery.
The models depict wagons with running numbers 375019, 375085, and 375109, and feature a maroon livery. Each wagon has a NEM coupling and a pristine finish.
The models are designed for use on a minimum radius curve of 438mm (2nd radius) and have a minimum weight of 40g. The chassis is die-cast for added weight and the wheels are RP25-110 profile, with separate brake blocks in line with the tread.
The models feature highly-detailed interiors, including rivets, framing, strapping, and accurately profiled door 'horns'. The models also include sprung metal buffers and dummy instanter couplings.
Each model has a unique set of features, including different body styles, hopper door designs, and bufferbeam brake pipe configurations. The models also feature multiple wheel variants, including bolted disc brake, plain disc brake, and standard (clasp brake) designs.
The set is designed to represent the CDA China Clay wagons during the initial privatisation period in the 1990s, and are suitable for use on 16.5mm track.
