Accurascale has released a new set of three OO gauge china clay wagons in EWS livery. The wagons are modelled in 1:76.2 scale and are suitable for use on 16.5mm track. The models are highly detailed and feature a die-cast chassis for added weight.
The set includes three different wagons, each with a unique running number and livery. Two of the wagons are modelled in maroon livery, with running numbers 375023 and 375120, while the third wagon is modelled in a blue livery, with running number 375023. The wagons are fitted with NEM couplers and have a minimum radius of curvature of 438mm.
The models are built to a high standard, with features such as rivets, framing, strapping, and accurately profiled door 'horns'. The wheels are RP25-110 profile, with separate brake blocks, and the models are fitted with sprung metal buffers and dummy instanter couplings. The wagons also feature a range of super fine plastic parts, including air pipes, lamp irons, safety catches, and brake equipment.
The set is designed to represent the china clay wagons used by the English, Welsh and Scottish Railway during the 1990s. The wagons are highly detailed and feature a range of individual differences to reflect the various body styles, hopper door configurations, and other features of the real thing.
