Manufacturer description

S56 Class No. 84 was one of the last batch of ten locomotives built for the Great Eastern Railway, to Order P57, at Stratford in 1904 and incorporated many of the improvements made to the R24 Class in the 1902 Improvement Programme. No.84 is portrayed in the classic GER livery of Ultramarine Blue with Vermillion lining and shaded lettering, as it operated from Stratford Shed until being repainted into the GER’s ‘austerity’ grey livery in 1915.

Accurascale's GER Class J67 'Buckjumper' model is a 0-6-0 tank locomotive in the livery of the Great Eastern Railway, specifically No.84 in Ultramarine Blue. This model represents a locomotive built in 1904 at Stratford Works, and rebuilt from a Class R24 locomotive between 1902 and 1921.

The model features a number of details, including a die-cast metal chassis and boiler, factory-fitted brake rigging, and scale width wire handrails and sand pipes. The cab area is fully detailed, with a removable roof and bunker area, while the locomotive also includes eroded metal and plastic detail parts, brass turned whistles and valves, and etched metal pre-painted numberplates.

The locomotive is DCC ready with stay alive arrangement, and features a Next18 DCC socket for use with ESU LokSound V5 Micro or similar decoders. A factory-installed DCC sound option is also available, with two quality sugarcube speakers contained in sound capsules located in the side tanks. The model also features a large coreless motor and helical gearbox, allowing for a maximum top speed of 50 mph.

The model meets a minimum radius curve of 438mm, and has a scale length of 110.66mm over headstocks, with a target weight of 260g-275g. The locomotive is supplied with a small, flexible neck NEM compliant coupler mount, and a mini-tension-lock coupler.
