Manufacturer description

LNER J69 No. 359 came from an earlier batch of ten locomotives built at Stratford in 1892 and was rebuilt in 1904 into the R24r Class, gaining new safety valves, a new boiler design and 1180 gallon side tanks, but retaining the original narrow cab and coal bunker. No. 359 is portrayed in the earliest 1923 version of the LNER livery of Black with Red Lining, with fully shaded L&NER initials.

Accurascale's LNER Class J69 'Buckjumper' model is a 0-6-0 tank locomotive, representing LNER No. 359 in LNER lined black livery. The model is built to a scale length of 110.66mm over the headstocks and features a die-cast metal chassis and boiler.

Key features of the model include all-wheel pickup, DCC readiness with a stay alive arrangement, and a factory-fitted brake rigging. The locomotive is also equipped with a large coreless motor and a helical gearbox, allowing for a maximum top speed of 50mph.

The model is designed for operation on minimum radius curves of 438mm, and is available with either a DCC sound option or as a DCC-ready model. The locomotive features a number of detailed components, including scale-width wire handrails, sand pipes, and eroded metal/plastic detail parts.
