Introduced in 1942 for the transport of Sherman tanks, the 50T bogie Warwell wagon continued to see service after the end of the Second World War.Our model captures it's original and designed for use - moving new Sherman tanks arriving at the West coast ports from American factories. They would travel in these special wagons - which allowed the tanks to fit within the UK loading gauge - down to the training grounds and armouries of the South.

This model also includes a die-cast Sherman tank in matching 1:76 scale.

In it's 'as shipped' form with wooden packing carton on it's rear and gun supported by a wooden stake.

Oxford Warwell wagon with a die‑cast Sherman tank, modelled in 1:76 scale.

The kit represents a War Department‑liveried 50‑ton bogie Warwell wagon (manufacturer part number OR76WW006B) as it appeared during the period known as the Big Four (LNER, LMS, GWR and SR). Introduced in 1942, the wagon was used to transport Sherman tanks from west‑coast ports to training grounds and armouries, fitting the tanks within the UK loading gauge.

The set includes a 1:76‑scale die‑cast Sherman tank and the wagon supplied ‘as shipped’, complete with a wooden packing carton on the rear and the gun supported by a wooden stake.

Packed dimensions are 36.5 cm × 5 cm × 9.7 cm (L × W × H); unpacked dimensions are 21 cm × 3.5 cm × 5.1 cm (L × W × H).
