The ScotRail franchise operated from September 1983 until March 1997. In that time the company adopted on its Mk3a coaching stock a variation on the more familiar
InterCity Executive livery. The red stripe that ran the length of each coach side was replaced by Blue.

These coaches typically operated the fast service between the main cities within Scotland.

Our model will feature the miniature route map shown in yellow in the end windows.

Oxford Rail's OO gauge model of a British Railways Mark 3A First Open coach, SC11005, is a detailed representation of a ScotRail coach in its IC Executive livery.

The model is finished to a high standard, with a black and grey colour scheme and a NEM coupling. It measures 322 mm in length, accurately reproducing the dimensions of the real thing.

This model is based on the Mk3a coaching stock used by ScotRail during the British Rail Sectorisation period, specifically between September 1983 and March 1997. During this time, ScotRail adopted a variation of the InterCity Executive livery, replacing the red stripe with blue. The model features the distinctive blue stripe and a miniature route map in the end windows, which was a characteristic of these coaches.
