Manufacturer description

The MGB was introduced in 1962, with a 0-60 mph time of just over 11 seconds, aided by the relatively light weight of the car. Handling was one of the MGB's strong points. The 3-bearing 1798 cc B-Series engine produced 95 hp at 5,400 rpm. The engine was upgraded in October 1964 to a five-bearing crankshaft in an effort to improve reliability.

Oxford Diecast Pale Primrose MGB Roadster – 1:76 Scale is a model replica of the classic British sports car. The model is produced under the part number 76MGB002 and represents the vehicle in the British Rail Blue livery used before the introduction of the TOPS system.

The die‑cast model depicts the MGB as it appeared in the early 1960s. The real MGB was launched in 1962, featuring a 1798 cc B‑Series engine that generated 95 hp at 5,400 rpm and could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just over 11 seconds. In October 1964 the production engine was updated with a five‑bearing crankshaft to improve reliability, and the car was noted for its lightweight construction and handling characteristics.

The Oxford Diecast version is rendered in a pale primrose finish, matching the period British Rail blue colour scheme. At a 1:76 scale, the model is suitable for display or collection by enthusiasts of historic British motoring.
