Heljan Class 17 Clayton D8502 is a OO‑scale model of the British Rail Class 17 diesel locomotive, presented in British Rail green livery with a late crest and small yellow panels. The model carries the running number D8502 and reproduces the locomotive built between 1962 and 1965, of which 117 were produced in reality.
The locomotive is fitted with DCC sound capability via an 8‑pin socket, directional lighting, and power pickup from all wheels. It features NEM couplings with a tension lock, a minimum curve radius of 371 mm (1st radius), and a wheel arrangement of Bo‑Bo.
