Dapol Banana Van Geest B882138 is an OO gauge (1:76) model measuring 82 mm in length, 33 mm in width and 48 mm in height. It is presented in the BR bauxite livery and runs on a minimum radius curve of Radius 1. The van has a 4‑wheel arrangement and features NEM couplings with self‑centering knuckles.

The prototype was built by British Railways Wolverton Works between 1959 and 1960 for British Railways. It represents the early crest period of British Railways and was originally used to transport bananas from the Caribbean, with steam‑heated, plywood‑lined and insulated bodies that allowed the fruit to ripen en‑route.

The Dapol model replicates a later 1950s steam‑piped variant suitable for block‑train operation. It includes highly detailed body moulding, profiled wheels, NEM pockets with self‑centering couplings and accurately applied livery. Manufacturer part number 4F‑016‑035.
