The model is DCC ready, featuring a 21‑pin socket, and is supplied with a tungsten chassis, all‑wheel power pickup and cast wheels with fine relief and appropriate colouring.

The kit replicates the original vehicles built between 1960 and 1961, which were numbered 55020–55035 and nicknamed “bubble cars”. It includes a finely moulded body with separate detail parts, accurately applied livery, NEM coupling pockets, independently controllable directional lighting, and Dapol’s 5‑pole skew‑wound Mega creep motor for smooth operation and fine speed control.
