The Dapol Class 121 960010 is a fully DCC‑fitted OO gauge (1:76) model representing a single‑car diesel multiple unit in Railtrack maroon livery. The chassis is die‑cast with NEM pockets for tension‑lock couplings and a minimum operating radius of 2 chains (approximately 40 m).
It reproduces a Class 121 unit built by the Pressed Steel Company between 1960 and 1961, originally capable of carrying 65 passengers. The model is appropriate for layouts depicting the initial privatisation era and bears the manufacturer part number 4D‑009‑HAT06.
Operators shown on the packaging include Arriva Trains Wales, British Rail, Chiltern Railways, Silverlink, Network Rail and Railtrack, with the type historically employed on local passenger duties. The real units remained in service until 2017, and fifteen examples survive today.
