Accurascale D6700 NRM Collection is a 1:76.2 (OO gauge) model of a British Railways Class 37 locomotive, produced to represent the early‑crest period of the class. The model carries the manufacturer part number ACC2300D6700 and is supplied in Locomotion Models packaging with a 21‑pin DCC socket; a version fitted with ESU LokSound 5 DCC sound is also available. Purchase is limited to two units per customer per order.

The locomotive is finished in plain British Rail green as delivered in December 1960 and features a split headcode display capable of showing four characters, nose‑connecting doors, original windscreens, cab interior and an open boiler exhaust. Optional customer‑applied headcodes and a plated boiler exhaust version can be specified. The model includes a double‑riveted roof with a large cab roof vent, an underslung fuel tank with boiler water tank, a frost grille and an early cantrail grille with a riveted surround.

Construction details include a heavy die‑cast metal chassis, fabricated bogies and a full under‑body tank with brackets and pipework. The model incorporates highly detailed etched metal and high‑fidelity plastic components such as grab handles, aerials, steps, wipers, nameplates and crests. Various interchangeable body and nose slides allow representation of multiple members of the class, with three styles of bufferbeam, three nose grilles and four roof configurations available.

The DCC‑ready version is supplied with a PowerPack/backup capacitor bank providing up to ten seconds of power‑free running, flicker‑free lighting and continuous sound. The sound option includes an ESU LokSound V5 chip, dual speakers (a large bass speaker and a smaller high‑frequency unit) and custom‑tuned audio. Traction is driven by a five‑pole motor with a metal helical gearbox, enabling a scale top speed of 100 mph (160 km/h) and all‑wheel drive. Lighting packs deliver directional headlight, engine‑bay and cab illumination, with switchable red tail lights and WIPAC clusters where appropriate.

Wheel options are supplied as RP25‑110 profile OO gauge wheels, with separate offerings for fine‑scale EM (18.2 mm) and P4 (18.83 mm) re‑gauging. The model is compatible with a minimum radius of 438 mm (second‑radius set‑track). All features are designed to meet the standards of the National Railway Museum exclusive collection.
