Rapido's GWR County No.1013 'County of Dorset' in BR Lined Black Early Crest Livery

Rapido Trains has released a new model of the GWR Class 1000 'County' locomotive, specifically the No.1013 'County of Dorset' in BR Lined Black livery with the early crest. This model features a range of authentic details to enhance the overall appearance and operational capabilities of the locomotive.

The model comes with black backed number and name plates, which were a distinctive feature of the BR Lined Black livery. The locomotive is also equipped with a single chimney, a characteristic of the Class 1000 design. A Speedo is fitted to the model, allowing modellers to monitor the locomotive's speed.

The model features parallel buffers, which are designed to provide a smooth and stable connection to other rolling stock. The recommended minimum radius for operation is 2nd radius curves of 438mm or greater. The model's dynamic firebox flicker is designed to mimic the authentic appearance of a steam locomotive's firebox in operation.

The model is equipped with a 21-pin DCC decoder socket, allowing modellers to easily upgrade the locomotive to DCC operation.
