Rapido's GWR County No.1014 'County of Glamorgan' in BR Lined Green (Early Crest) Livery

Rapido's OO gauge model of the GWR Class 1000 'County' locomotive, number 1014 'County of Glamorgan', is now available in BR Lined Green (Early Crest) livery. This model is a highly detailed representation of the real locomotive, with a double chimney and speedo fitted, features typical of the Class 1000 design.

As preserved, the model has a correct arrangement of parallel buffers, allowing it to negotiate 2nd radius curves of 438mm or greater with ease. The mechanism is smooth and powerful, making it suitable for most model railway layouts. The model also features a working dynamic firebox flicker, adding a touch of realism to the locomotive's operation.

Electrical features include a 21-pin DCC decoder socket, allowing for easy installation of a decoder for control of the model. MoPower stay-alive capacitors are also fitted, helping to prevent the model's electronics from draining the power supply. Two factory-fitted speakers are included, providing a good quality sound experience.

In terms of detailing, the model boasts a museum quality paint finish and highly detailed bodywork. NEM coupler pockets are also fitted, making it easy to attach the model to other rolling stock. The model is built to 1:76 scale, making it a great addition to any OO gauge layout.
