Hornby GWR IEP Bi‑Mode Class 800/0 Coach Pack – Era 11 is a 4 mm scale model released in the 2018 range. It represents a current‑era Hitachi Class 800 bi‑mode train operated by Great Western Railway, with a pristine green livery matching the 2015 GWR colour scheme.
The pack contains three coach bodies, each 334 mm long. The coaches carry the running numbers 812003, 813003 and 814003. Two cars are classified as Motor Standard Open (MSO) and one as Motor Composite Open (MCO). Features include interior lighting, a minimum curve radius of 3, power pickup via the power car only, and NEM/proprietary couplings that allow multiple units to be coupled together.
The coaches were built by Hitachi Kasado (pre‑production) and Hitachi Newton Aycliffe (production) between 2014 and 2018. The manufacturer part number is R4870 and the model represents the current era of Great Western Railway operation.
