Hornby 1:1 Collection: LNER A4 Class 4‑6‑2 locomotive, number 4464 ‘Bittern’, issued as a limited edition of 1 000. The model is finished in Pristine condition, is DCC Ready with an 8‑pin socket, and incorporates a 5‑pole skew‑wound motor. It uses NEM couplings, a minimum curve of 2nd radius (438 mm), and picks up power via the driving and leading wheels and tender only. The locomotive is represented in its original Garter Blue livery and measures 291 mm in length.

The prototype locomotive was built by the London & North Eastern Railway at Doncaster in December 1937, entered service on 8 December 1937 and was withdrawn in September 1966 after 28 years. Designed by Nigel Gresley, the A4 class had a 4‑6‑2 wheel arrangement, could reach 90 mph and was ordered and operated by the LNER. The model bears the manufacturer part number R3771 and depicts the current era.
